I was totally into the hyperbole about how we do not commit a sin idea from your sermon. I’m thinking that it’s our acceptance that Christ saves us from our sinful nature that by loving him and showing that we are his followers that it erases our sins, kind of as we go along. so today’s reading about loving our brother and sister or else we murderers really reinforced my thinking as to how John was trying to make his point

I wonder if the book of Jeremiah is an example of God, intentionally speaking and acting to give us hope that he has brought salvation to his people, and that through his son Jesus, even though it will take a long time from when Jesus left his earth, but to keep us from despair and help us to endure to the end
