Paul’s words to the Colossians means so much and he said them so simply. Our reconciliation with God through Christ in the beginning needs to continue with us throughout our life. It’s not a one saved, always saved deal. So whatever our lives bring we need to continuously, relate them to our reconciliation with God through Christ. We must not measure the good or bad we experienced with what the world does.

This account with David and his men made me wonder if this was the first time David realize the power and influence he had over the lives of these men that perhaps he had come to respect and trust with his own life. It’s something to reflect on as an individual on how we may have influence and what we say may prompt people to do things because of our words or actions. And this makes me remember my mom‘s words once what you say goes out of your mouth you can’t take it back.
