This is such a beautiful and relatable passage of how we can regard our life now, and be clear as to who we owe for the hope of life beyond this physical body. The account about the Philistines reminds me that there’s nothing new happening today that hasn’t happened in the past when it comes to human conflict and constantly being faced with a choice whether to follow God or some man some God that is an opposition to our God. The consequences for both are made apparent in this account. It is good to reflect on my personal choices and priorities.
