Isaiah is certainly speaks to one of the tendencies. We have as humans to stop being eager to stay close to God, or Alert to the things around us that can dull our senses in a spiritual way. So it can be when things are going well we tend to get lazy. For some reason, it made me think of the saying better keep the devil you know than the devil you don’t know. So sometimes people just fear change and the world is changing.
