What did have greater meaning to me was Jesus saying that the important thing is to hear the good news believe it and get baptized and dad is what would save us. So that and other scriptures really make me pause and think of the spiritual state of persons who do not accept the Christ came to the Earth to fulfill God‘s promise of saving mankind from sin. So persons who deny this would not be my spiritual brother or sister.

I do have a question about the words that Jesus spoke to his disciples about handling snakes, and the rest in that part of the reading is if that was intended only for their time or a brief time? Or like you alluded to is this something that a Christian would expect to be able to do now.

For me, the connection between using a woman in these verses, probably made more sense back then than now, but for those of us that breast fit our children, then it is the woman who provides the nourishment. Whether it be when we’re babies, but typically women have had the role of providing food for the family. And it’s a satisfying thing for me to do that for the ones I love

This is such a clear way for God to invite us to take in the things from him that will be on a solid foundation, and that it is all for our good. Our health physically and mentally, and from the top of the city Heights makes me think of climbing a mountain and being able to view the world from above And things are so much more clear.
