This may be a thought to stump the pastor. But in our readings about how God loves us and is not going to harm us, I think of all that happened in the Old Testament, where he did punish his people after the days of Noah and the promise. So it Makes me ask the question how does this promise fit in with what actually happened in history to God‘s people?
