First, John two, where he says a little children, makes me think he was speaking to spiritually immature members whom were forgetting that Jesus is the Christ. Perhaps because there were those in their mitts or influencing them to believe something else. So it can be with us we can know the truth, but it would be wise to check ourselves as to what we are thinking so that we can progressively continue our spiritual journey and truth and not, let lies creep into our minds and hearts

Daniels prayer seems to be initiated because he was able to calculate the time when their desolation would be complete. In contrast, we don’t know when the end is going to come for this world. We can learn from the way he prayed how important it is to become humble and acknowledge where we’ve gone wrong, but there is no way we could save ourselves without God providing a way.
