The reading in second Corinthians chapter 3 really explains the differences in what God accomplished with the Israelites, and how how far along mankind was at the time of his writing, and getting closer to God, doing away with the old world, and allowing those who are his worshipers, his chosen ones, his servantsto live on the earth forever

I am wondering if God chose the Israelites, because they were among the worst in worshiping idols. In order to prove to everyone, first, that he was the only true God through his actions and words. And to tell his purposes for mankind through his dealings with imperfect man, how he could produce a solution to our imperfection, and reconcile us to God himself, and fulfill his purpose For man to live on this earth in perfection.
