The book of Job can really get into our head. I agree with you that I do not think it is God who brings trials and tribulations on humans. We have free well and that pretty well explains it. How Joe reacted is so understandable. I think it just makes me ask myself how have I reacted to injustice and cruelty. I hope it makes me more empathetic and compassionate towards other people, and that I show grace to others, as well as myself.
