I am wondering if the apparent randomness of miracles being performed had something to do with God knew that the people at that time needed those miracles. And it does emphasize good things happened to bad people. We continue to have suffering so like our other text talked about the need to Pin our sites and our faith on what is to come. It was Christ resurrection that sealed the promise to us that in God‘s time we will have the everlasting life that God intended for us.
