I appreciate you making the point about God‘s purpose in creating us to have sexual desire and the purpose of intimacy in a relationship. And Paul‘s words really are a good caution to everyone about approaching that in anyway that would make us fall away from our love of God and serving god in a way he approves. It’s certainly another aspect of our human imperfection that if we’re not careful, we underestimate the effect that something going wrong could do to us and badly effect our serving God

To continue about Job. I think it’s a lesson to me about how I tried to comfort or support someone else and think about what’s in my heart and Check to measure this against Christ example. I think it’s also a lesson about trusting in God when we don’t understand why something is happening, and if we feel it’s unbearable, we surely need to turn to God for comfort and not rely on anyone else

I’ve had different thoughts about the story of Job over the last 40 years. Today what I kept thinking about was his friends and how they talked to him. I wonder if they even knew how they felt about bad things happening to good people before this happened to their friend.
