I love Romans 12 for everything that it says provides guidance for how I view the world and how I react and know that good can and does overcome evil. I love that it shows the best way is to show kindness as much as possible. Love is the best defense against evil. Showing compassion and empathy and treating everyone as an equal. Everyone wants this, but it takes God in our lives and the Holy Spirit helping us to actually demonstrate these qualities.

Isaiah‘s words make me think that God inspired him to speak them not only for the nation of Israel vote for we who are his people today, trying to live in a godly way and sometimes difficult circumstances. If for a moment, God seems to be ignoring us, it could be because we are holding him away from us. God says he will redeem us despite our imperfections. Thanks be to God.
